FBAA Members buy 20% at Classic

The 2025 Classic Yearling Sale kicked off the Inglis Australian sales season with 578 lots sold (608), grossing $54m ($56m) with a clearance rate of 80% (84%) at an average of $93,713 ($92,566) and median of $70,000 ($70,000). Irrespective of the reduced gross, both the average and median remained competitive with 2024 figures. 

The FBAA members’ presence remained consistent with the purchase of 90 yearlings, accounting for 20% of the gross and 16% of the quantity of stock sold.

Damon Gabbedy of Belmont Bloodstock lead the FBAA buyers table with 10 purchases for a total of $2,262, 000.
