The Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale produced optimistic results to open the yearling sale season in Australasia.
Book 1 grossed $207M ($224M) for the 1021 lots sold (768) with a clearance of 83% (87%) at an average of $269,388 ($277,088) and median of $200,000 ($200,000), which was slightly down on the 2024 figures, with the median remaining the same.
The FBAA members were out in force advising clients on the purchase 164 yearlings in book 1 accounting for 21% of the gross and 21% of the quantity of stock sold.
Jim Clarke lead the FBAA buyers table being involved in 24 purchases for $7.78M.
