Belmont Bloodstock tops Inglis Classic

The 2026 Inglis Classic Yearling sale showcased improved results from the previous year with 592 lots sold (574), grossing $57.5M ($54M) with a clearance rate of 84% (80%) at an average of $97,253 ($94,257) and a median of $75,000 ($70,000).                                                                                                                              

A new sale record was reached when the hammer came down on Lot 688 purchased by Belmont Bloodstock for $625,000 for McEvoy Racing.

Overall, FBAA members’ purchases totalled 68 yearlings which accounted for 17% of the gross and 12% of the total number of lots sold. John Foote lead the FBAA buyers table with 11 purchases for a total of $1.4m and was also the leading buyer of the whole sale with the most individual lots purchased
