FBAA 19% of Easter

The 2026 Easter Yearling sale proved to be a strong market – even with the withdrawal of the greatly anticipated Winx x Snitzel Colt. Despite a 10% reduction in clearance rate with 78% (88%), the 322 lots sold (472) grossed $147.5m ($152m) at an average of $458,075 ($447,832) and a median of $350,000 ($360,000).

FBAA members remained competitive and showcased their resilience with a total of 51 purchases, accounting for 19% of the sale gross and 16% of the total stock sold, improving on last year’s collaborative results. Andrew Williams lead the FBAA buyers table and  was responsible for $9.9m in purchases, with Clarke Bloodstock following suit with $7.5m.
